Premodern history course
Majors must complete one premodern history course within the major. Refer to the course description to determine which courses fulfill this requirement.
Modern history course
Majors must complete one modern history course within the major. Refer to the course description to determine which courses fulfill this requirement.
High-Impact Learning Experience
All history majors must have one high-impact learning experience to complete the requirements of the major. Consult the department chair or academic advisor for details.
Note:
It is recommended that history majors complete at least two terms of a foreign language.
By completing the history major, students have met the requirements for OCAC/ILAC.
Public History Concentration
History major plus 7 course credits from the following courses of which HI 275 , HI 371 , and HI 372 can be applied to both the major and the concentration.
