For students planning to sit for the Uniform CPA Exam in Iowa, at least one course is needed in each of the following areas: financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and management (cost) accounting. A total of a 24 semester hour equivalent in accounting courses is also required. Students are recommended to take AC 421 Advanced Accounting , AC 422 Government and Non-Profit Accounting , AC 424 Income Tax Accounting II , AC 429 Certified Public Accountant Review , and BA 332 Business Law II .
By completing the accounting major, students have met the requirements for OCAC/ILAC.
